Profile Intel

CarnegieChem® leverages a proprietary Archetype model as a means to define an individual's psychographics — the values, attitudes, drivers, and personality that makes each of us who we are. The personality profiles identified for you and your colleagues are composed of a unique combination of all nine Archetypes in the model. Let's examine the elements of the profile.

Persona, Description, Leading Archetypes

Positioned at the highest point of the profile, you will find the name of the person being profiled, whether it belongs to you or a team member. Directly beneath the name lies the Persona. Even though individuals adjust to different settings — including team interactions, cross-functional efforts, external partnerships, power dynamics, and interpersonal relationships — each person possesses a core Persona that represents their genuine self. This Persona is displayed as a descriptor set in quotation marks right under the name.

Directly beneath the Persona, an overview summarizes the primary characteristics and underlying drivers of the individual's personality. This overview links directly to the "Leading Archetypes" listed below it. These represent the three most dominant Archetypes shaping the person's personality, playing the most significant role in driving their actions and defining who they are.

All Archetype Scores and Least Archetype

As noted earlier, personality profiles integrate all nine Archetypes into a distinctive combination based on their scores. Every Archetype score for a given individual is presented in the "All Archetype Scores" visual. While scores of ten or above typically represent the "Leading Archetypes," exceptions do occur. When scores tie, position along the normal distribution curve breaks the tie, giving priority to the rarer Archetype over the more prevalent one.

The Archetype with the lowest score is designated the "Least Archetype", which is highlighted below the "All Archetype Scores" graphic. The related description details how the minimal presence of that specific Archetype shapes an individual's motivations, behavior, and personality.

Drawn To, Struggles With, Traits, Faults, Peeves

This next section of the profile outlines helpful contextual information. This includes the Archetypes the individual is "Most Drawn To". The Archetypes the individual "Struggles Most With". And the individual's "Top Traits", "Top Faults", and "Top Peeves". Combining this contextual profile data across your team provides powerful insights into the dynamics and underlying reasons behind your everyday workplace interactions. Analyzing these data across team members helps deepen mutual understanding and offers insight into individual presence as you all get to know each other in a different way.

Human Performance 7-Schema

This section of the profile has no direct connection to personality. It is a separate diagnostic that determines an individual's position along seven spectrums of human performance factors, creating a fourteen-point measure.

Similarly to the personality elements of the profile, there is no right or wrong, good or bad. This traditional scale identifies a mix of low, moderate, and high positions in relation to Certainty, Motivation, Receptivity, Regulation, Adversity, Reliance, and Connection.

Unlike personality, the 7-Schema are more malleable. Where a person resides on the scales can be influenced and changed over time, if desired, more so than personality can be. These factors have important implications for how teammates work together, how individuals should be managed, how project teams might be constructed, and why alignment or tension may be experienced in certain situations. Within teams, it can be quite beneficial to see a diversity of scores across the 7-Schema.
